Product Manager
As an expat in Netherlands, it took me well over 6 months to grasp the vastness and variety of activities happening at the University. Finding people with same interests was a daunting task. Common social media platforms houses many popular events but not the smaller niche activities like a free badminton game night, or a workshop to learn 3D printing and so on. There is no centralized place of information. Turns out, this problem is not unique to me but to a lot of expats like me.
Thus Clik was born- a mobile social app specifically tailored to connects like-minded people based on their hobbies and shared interests within the local area. It is a centralized database that showcases all events big and small spanning from small association evenings to big parties. Clik also encourages  conversations on relevant local topics within the platform.
Customer base: It was developed for students (local and international), University associations, Expats, Young professionals looking for local hobbies or social connections.
As the product manager of Clik, I worked with a team of 2 designers, 2 developers and 1 marketing expert. I was responsible for the app design and user experience and managing the product lifecycle. My task was to create an intuitive interface that is easy for people to find, favorite, and post events. (preview above)
This involved market research of 5 potential competitors. We as a team conducted iterative user testing to validate the direction of the product at every iteration cycle, performed heat map analysis, and even achieved 200 active users on the platform.

FIGMA WIREFRAMING

We engaged with various university communities to build partnerships to curate a comprehensive database, ensuring Clik resonated with its target users. As the app gained visibility, even a construction company expressed interest in collaboration, highlighting its broader potential.
However, as team members pursued individual paths, priorities shifted, and Clik was paused. While the project is on hold, its initial progress demonstrates a meaningful opportunity for creating connections through shared interests.
